Christmas once again fills the streets of the traditional historic centre of Finestrat with magic and excitement. It will be this weekend, from 15 to 17 December, with fiffy stalls selling crafts, gastronomy, typical Crhistmas decorations, as well as the large Cristmas tree that `presides over the Plaça del Poble. There will be children's entertainment, itinerant storytelling, musical performances and the most eagerly awaited visit of the year by the litlle ones of the house, such as Santa Claus. Several Disney characters have also confirmed their visit.

To opening will be this Friday 15th, from 6:00 p.m.. The inaugural route will start at 7:00 p.m. until reaches the Plaça del Poble and, as these are dates to dream, around 8:00 p.m., the temperatura will drop so much that a great snowfall is expected to fall to the rhythm of typical Cristmas music. The prizel will then be awarded to the winners of the XVI Christas Postcard Contest.

During these days, the Comissió de Festes El Pi will prepare typical Finestrat recipes such as "putxero amb pilores", wich sill be on Saturday 16th, and "arròs and fesols i naps" on Sunday 17th. All this, at popular prices. On the part or l'Associació de Dones de Finestrat, there will also be a stop of typical food such as sausages, honey, wines, sweet coques and coca girà.

The program includes a children's album, musical performances by the groups "Calm the rage", on Saturday 16, and "SWAG", on Sunday 17, as well as ambien music with live Christmas carols throughout the market. As for the children's workshops, the little ones will have face painting distributed around the Mercat, crafs and storyteling...as well as the visit of Santa Claus and his Disney friends.

Duringthe days of market, there will be free buses departing from La Cala and the urbanisations. In addition, a large car park be set up in thea area of the Municipal Sports and from there will be shuttles of bring visitors to the old town.

In additiion to the municipal car park and the car parks on Carrer Sant Vicent and Carrer del Salt (juction towards Sella-Relleu), visitors will be able to park in the La Foia sports area. From there will be a shuttle bus that will take you to the Market.
