Finestrat is once again filled with magic and excitement on the occasion of its traditional Christmas Market. It will be from December 13 to 15 and in a new location: the Plaça de la Unió Europea. That weekend, more than 50 stalls of crafts, popular gastronomy, typical Christmas decorations, and a large Christmas Tree will preside over this square to bring and share the spirit of Christmas among neighbors and visitors. There will be children's entertainment, face painting, live music, the ANEMOI Street View dance show, the great musical "Cuentos Mágicos", well-known Disney characters and the most anticipated visit of the year by the little ones of the house: Santa.
The organization of this fifth edition of the Christmas Market has generated a lot of excitement and, as a novelty, a new location is being opened to be able to concentrate all the stalls and the program of events in the same space: the Plaça de la Unió Europea. 50 stalls of artisanal products and Christmas decorations will be placed. The El Balconet Festivities Commission will cook typical recipes for these dates and will have, as always, the collaboration of local groups such as the Associació de Dones de Finestrat, the two schools and Cáritas.
From the Comissió de Festes El Balconet they will prepare typical recipes of Finestrat such as "arròs amb fesols i naps" at popular prices. On the part of the Associació de Dones de Finestrat there will also be a stall of typical products such as sausage, honey, wines, sweet coques and coca girà.
Among the scheduled events, there will be several visits from Santa Claus, Disney characters, the awards ceremony for the winners of the XVII Christmas Card Contest, which will be the same afternoon as the opening of the Market, Friday 13, when it is expected that there will also be a great snowfall. On Saturday 14, at 12:00 p.m., the show ANEMOI Street View will be held by the company Rajatabla Danza, which is part of the Valencian Cultural Circuit. Undoubtedly, one of the star performances of this Market will be the Great Musical "Magic Tales", directed by the singer Alba Ed-Dounia, known for her participation in THE VOICE 2022.
The program also includes a children's disco, live musical performances such as TRIBUTO A IL DIVO and Christmas carols throughout the market. As for the children's workshops, the little ones will have face painting and crafts, among others.
