Finestrat is a municipality that has managed to preserve its most traditional festivals. This is the case of Sant Antoni del Porquet, a deep.rooted festivity reminiscent of the agricultural and livestock municipality that it was, in which religion occupied a preponderant place. In fact, tradition and religion go hand in this celebration that will take place this Sunday 21, at 12:30 p.m., and which brings together dozens of people around the blessing of the animals and the auction on the different popular offerings.

From noon, the events will begin at the doors of the Church of Sant Bertomeu, as it exits through the Plaça de la Torreta. It will be the kick-off to a day in which there will be no shortage of music and gastronomy. This year it will be organized by the current Commission of Festivities, la Barraca El Pi, with the collaboration of the Department of Festivals of the City of Finestrat, which makes a great effort to maintain this tupe of celebrations over time.

Throughout the day there will be bar service by the Comissió de Festes 2024 and you will be able to taste some of the traditional tapas of Finestrat, as well as the different sausages and grilled pork.
