Finestrat joins the commemoration of International Tourism Day

Finestrat joins the commemoration of International Tourism Day

Finestrat joins the commemoration of International Tourism Day, which is celebrated today, Friday, September 27. The slogan that has been chosen is "Tourism and peace", a slogan that adapts very well to this town in the Marina Baixa, which is characterized precisely by being a destination where tranquility in its streets and its generous nature, and the kindness of its people prevail.

The loyalty of the tourist who chooses Finestrat as a destination to spend their days off continues to be maintained year after year. This summer has been very positive, reaching a hotel occupancy of more than 90%. The origin of the visitors who choose this beautiful town is, above all, from Madrid, the Valencian Community itself and the Basque Country. Internationally, they come from the United Kingdom, France and Belgium.

Finestrat is one of the most complete destinations on the Costa Blanca, as it combines the sea, with its beautiful cove, and the mountains, with the imposing Puig Campana, the second highest mountain in the province of Alicante, making it the ideal place for tourists looking for the sun and the beach and, also, of those who come attracted by nature and tranquility. In addition, it has the Commercial Boulevard, with one of the best commercial offers, and with a gastronomy that covers all palates.

The institutions of the town are working to make Finestrat a sustainable and accessible destination. Thus, it is planned to redevelop the Plaça de la Unió Europea, build an elevator to El Castell, which is located in the upper area of the historic center, and create the pedestrian green ring, which will link the oldest part of the municipality with the sports area of La Foia. All these projects are expected to be completed by 2025.
