The Valencian poet Vicente Andrés Estellés will be the protagonist of the institutional events that will be held in Finestrat on the occasion of the celebration of October 9, the day of the Valencian Community. Various local associations will participate in this tribute that commemorates the centenary of his birth and that will take place on Wednesday 9, from 12:30 p.m., in the Plaça del Poble, in the old town.

After this institutional act, the events will move to the Plaça de la Unió Europea and there will be an acrobatic aerial dance, entitled "Cell". It will be the Subcielo company that will be in charge of carrying out this scenography on the walls of the municipal Cultural House. And then, the party begins, with a popular bar and music by the rock group Herbero.

In this edition, different cultural, recreational and traditional events have been organized, on the occasion of October 9, which will be held on several different days, being the Cordà, on Tuesday the 8th, the culmination of this special program, as it reflects the Valencian identity and the passion that exists in this Community for gunpowder. It will be on La Fonteta street and there will be a children's modality and, after it, at 10:30 p.m., it will be the adult one, both carried out by the Associació Cultural La Cordà .

For this first weekend of October, several cultural events have been organized in the municipality of Finestrat, all related to the culture and traditions of the Valencian Community. Thus, on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 there will be a trencadisc workshop, a traditional Valencian coating technique that can be seen in constructions throughout the Spanish east, characterized by using pieces of ceramics, tiles and colored glass to create decorative designs. The price of the activity is 3 euros and registration can be formalized online through the agendafinestrat.es website. Places are limited.

The theater will be the protagonist on Sunday afternoon at the municipal House of Culture. At 7:00 p.m. you can see the play "@Rita_Trobador" d'Esclafit Teatre, written and directed by Joan Nave. This show is part of the Festival of Performing Arts of the Diputación de Alicante and of the actions to disseminate the Valencian language promoted by the AVIVA FINESTRAT office. Admission is free.
