Finestrat, Sustainable Village Award 2024, will share its experience in renewables and waste management with eight European cities

During the first week of June, Finestrat will host delegations from eight European cities that come to the municipality with the intention of sharing experiences in sustainability, renewable energy and waste management. This meeting takes place within the framework of the European project "Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values" which aims to take advantage of synergies and knowledge to advance in the preservation of the environment and curb climate change.

The start of this project took place in April in the Italian city of Siena and now it will be Finestrat, representing Spain, who will receive the municipal representatives of Siena, Trikala (Greece), Ko?evje (Slovenia), Brasov (Romania), Kekava (Latvia), Újbuda (Hungary) and Athineou (Cyprus). These working days will be held on June 4 and 5, coinciding with World Environment Day.
