Finestrat’s hotels will be getting a grant of 73,000 euros so they can ratify the IMSERSO programme. The Provincial Council of Alicante makes this subsidy available through the Town Council for establishments working with this type of tourism focusing on senior citizens during the winter months.

In Finestrat there are two hotels working with IMSERSO, the Alone Hotel and Tropic Relax, both located in La Cala. The programme, which was launched decades ago, is hugely important for this sector of the economy, as it allows tourism to be seasonally adjusted and jobs to be maintained. It also means that older people can enjoy a few days’ holiday at very competitive prices.
