The municipality of Finestrat has already prepared the program that it will develop on the occasion of the celebration of International Women's Day on March 8. For a week, different actiivities will be carried out that has been women as protagonist and the importance of living in equality, taking into account all the progress that has been made thanls to the policies developed in tecent decades and everthing that still needs to be achieved in terms of work-life balance or the wage gap.

During this week there will be no shortage of humour, educational workshops and acts of conviviality, without forgetting what is already beginning to ve a tradition in Finestrat the embellishmente of carrer Nou and Fonteta with lanterns crocheted by the  women of the Associació de Dones. In short, all the programmed activities are airmed at celebrating everything that strengthens society, while highlighting the role played by women.

Programme of activities:

Friday, March 1: The events will begin this Friday with the traditional Marina Baixa Women's Meeting, which this year take place in La Nucía, at 5:30 p.m.

Saturday, March 2: 8 M Workshop in the Sala Jove de Finestrat, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

6th, 7th, 11th and 12th March: Co-education workshops at CEIP Puig Campana and CEIP Balcón de Finestrat.

Friday, March 8: Afternoon snack at the headquarters of tje Associació de Dones de Finestrat, located on Carrer Nou, at 5:00 p.m.

Saturday, March 9: Inauguration of the Lanterns in Carrer Nou, at 12:30 p.m., with a wine of honor at i:00 p.m.

Sunday, March 10: Stand-up comedian Carol Tomás will perform "Per l'humor de 10", at the Casa de Cultura, at 7:00 p.m.
