Numbers are the protagonists of the exhibition that the Museu de Finestrat will inaugurate this Friday

Numbers are the protagonists of the exhibition that the Museu de Finestrat will inaugurate this Friday

The Museu de Finestrat will be collating during the month of February the collection 'CymaticOn: Numbers in icon' by the Mexican mathematician Luis Carlos Velázquez Guerrero. This shows the sorcery of an independent mathematical vision of the author, focused on the curiosity of the conèixer, understanding and sharing in a different way the mathematical discipline. The driving film is intuition, visual and artistic.

The exhibition opens this day, February 7th, at 12:00 hours, and you can visit the Museum of Finestrat from February 28th, located to the Parc Alcalde Miguel Llorca. The visiting hours are: dimecres, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Dijous i Divendres, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Dissabte i diumenge, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Llevat de l'Ultim de Setmana of the month that Roman Tancat

L'exposició està composta per una sèrie de 18 obres que juguen amb la concepció dels números i les formes, ampliant les seues possibilitats, a través d'elements geomètrics, ubicats en cadascuna d'elles. Each work constitutes a proposition of icons from numbers 7 to 24, the result of innovative mathematical formulas.

The exhibition is a powerful combination of color, energy and harmony, and a surprising proposal to explore the intersection between art and science. The author invites you to lie down in the world of mathematics in an innovative and creative way, combined with beauty.

Luis Carlos Velázquez is a graduate of the Faculty of Sciences of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Master in Mathematical Sciences with guidance in Waldorf pedagogy, independent researcher and lecturer in mathematical dissemination. He worked as a master of Numerical Analysis and of the Seminari de Ciència i Societat de la UNAM from 2000 to 2014.
