During the summer months, Finestrat's beach becomes the perfect setting to enjoy the various cultural events programmed for August nights. This Saturday, Plaça de l'Àmfora will be transformed into the set for the musical "La Casita de Chocolate" (The Little Chocolate House). Starting at 10 pm, actors from the Caja de Expresiones company will create a family show that’s  designed especially for young children and aims to entertain as well as convey a message. 

The show, which has been adapted by Juanchi Ruiz, is a children's musical featuring six original songs. The plot follows the traditional story of Hansel and Gretel and the lead character is Greta, a 10-year-old girl who goes to live in the forest because she's tired of her parents imposing rules on her. The other main role is played by the witch, who lures the little girl with her old tricks so she can eat her. In this version of the story there's also a third character, Juan Palazón, a funny delivery man who drops off the witch's orders and who, in the end, will become Greta's rescuer.
