Santa Claus will be collecting letters from children in La Cala, Finestrat
La Cala de Finestrat is getting everything ready for the arrival of Santa Claus on
Friday 23 December in Plaça de l’Àmfora. The festivities are due to begin from
5pm onwards, with music providing the backdrop as children hand their letters
to Santa Claus and capture this special moment with a souvenir photo.
To make it easier for everyone to get from Finestrat to La Cala, a free shuttle
bus will leave at 4.30pm and stop at the various residential complexes. Two
return shuttles will make the return journey and are scheduled to leave the
beach area at 7pm and 8pm respectively.
The festivities and fun will continue on Tuesday 27 December as the Town
Council Youth Department has programmed a trip to the ice rink in Elche. The
price is 5 euros and includes bus, equipment and skating instructor. People are
advised to wear warm clothing, gloves and two pairs of socks. The bus will
leave at 4pm from the stop at the entrance of Font de Carrè Park. Children
under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Wednesday 28 December is the date set for children's Christmas workshops.
All children over the age of 6 can take part and make a gingerbread house,
decorate Christmas cookies and make Christmas slime.
You can register for ice skating and the Christmas workshops in person at the
Centre Juvenil de Finestrat in Carrer Fonteta, 36, by telephone on 606936432
or by email to joventut@finestrat.org.
