The beach vibrates during the summer with the training of the volleyball players

Summer arrives and the beach leaves the tranquility of the rest of the seasons of the year. The volleyball girls are a good example of the dynamism that is imprinted in this summer period, since once the League is over, they stop training in closed spaces and do it outdoors and, for this, nothing better than moving to La Cala. Fans of this sport will be able to enjoy its practice and its elite players on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons, who, on the other hand, have had a great season and during July and August are preparing to repeat it.

In addition, these young athletes will train on a smoke-free beach, since since 2021 the municipality has been part of the SMOKE-FREE BEACHES NETWORK of the Valencian Community. In 2020, Finestrat was the first city council in Spain to approve a ban on smoking and vaping on its beach. A measure that came in the context of the pandemic, in order to contain the spread of the virus, and today it is still in force because the town has opted to create healthy spaces for all residents and tourists who want to enjoy the beach, while also protecting the coastline and the sand. avoiding dirt and contamination generated by cigarette butts. Thus, on the beach of La Cala de Finestrat the flag of Smoke-free Beach flies.
