From this Friday, January 12, until the 31 st, the Finestrat Museum Will host a photographic exhibition on the flora that grows in Puig Campana. Its autor is Manuel Mayor, a resident of the municipality who has spent more than 30 years touring the mountain weekly and researching each of the plants in this imposing massif of more than 1000 meters of altitude. The elders of the place have been one the main sources he has used to carry out this important work, as well as his training as a geographer, wich has been fundamental to créate this work. The exhibition Will be accompanied by two talks that Will be held on Saturday and Friday 26 January at the municipal House of Culture.

In the photographic exhibition you Will be able t osee some of the most beautiful floral species than gro won the slopes of Puig Campana. The autor highlights the beauty of the different types of wild orchids, with their vivid colors, as well as the medicinal plants, which until the current development of medicine allowed to improve the health of the residents of the región, without forgetting those4 that served to make the tastiest cooking dishes and that are currntly being recovered in the most Avant-garde cuisine.

In paratell to this exhibition, two talks are scheduled for Saturday, January 20 and Fiday, January 26. The fist Will deal with the traditional uses of plants. The sesión Will begin with a talk about the uses of some of the plantas and tres on the mountain. The evento Will end with a suprise for the attendees.

On January 26, the secornd parto f this monograph aimed at gettin to know the flora of Puig Campana Will be screened and Will end with an entertainment game “quizizz”, which Will use the mobile pone as a tool.
