The Museu de Finestrat presents this Friday the Roman funerary inscription found in the municipality
This weekend will be cultural in the municipality of Finestrat. Lovers of Ancient History and music will have two unmissable events that they are sure to enjoy. The professor at the University of Alicante and member of the Royal Academy of History, Juan Manuel Abascal Palazón, will present at the Museu de Finestrat, this Friday, April 12, at 7:00 p.m., the Roman funerary inscription "Saenia Abra hic sita", found at the end of the nineteenth century by the Dominican Father Bartolomé Ribelles in the Alfarelles district. This epigraph, which was part of the Corpus of Latin inscriptions of Hispania, is a bas-relief of a sculpture, which when it was found was mistaken for an image of Our Lady and it was thought to give her a feast as a gift.
Music lovers will be able to attend the Spring Concert held at the Auditori del Castell this Saturday, April 13, at 7:30 p.m. The pieces will be performed by the Puig Campana Musical Center and the Unió Musical l'Aurora de Sella.
