The Spanish Institute of Tourism Quality recognises the quality and sustainability of tourism in Finestrat
The Spanish Institute of Tourism Quality recognises the Ethnological and Archaeological Museum with the "Q" badge for quality and the "S" badge for sustainability to the Tourist Info of La Cala, two awards that reward the effort for quality and sustainability. The delivery of these two emblems to the town coincides with the presence of the municipality at the Madrid Tourism Fair, Fitur.
For years, Finestrat has been committed to working and developing its municipal tourism policy in the field of sustainability, since the municipality has one of the most important protected environments in the Valencian Community, as Puig Campana, the second highest massif in the province of Alicante, stands in its territory.
It is not the first time that this beautiful town on the Costa Blanca has been recognised for its commitment to sustainability, accessibility and innovation. In fact, it was one of the first municipalities in the Region to become a Smart Destination in 2016 and today it is at the highest level, along with such important destinations as Seville, Bilbao or Malaga. In 2024 it won the Sustainable Village of the Year Award.
