The traditional festival of Sant Blai is celebrated this Sunday, February 4, in the recreational area of the Font del Molí, at the foot of Puig Campana, The large participation of the locals and also tourist, makes this a long-awaited and desired celebration. In ancient times it was believed that this saint cured diseases related to the throat and, to the mass that was celebrated in his honor, oils were brought to be blessed, with which the sick person was later aanointed to heal.

This tradition has survived to the present day and is now a convivial festival in which the oldest ande youngest of the municipality meet and spend a pleasant day ourdoors. This year there will be inflatables, there will be the presence of the Bandeta Ateneu de La Vila Joiosa, wiche will liven up the day, and the Comissiò de Festes La Barraca el Pi will put up, from 12:00 noon, a popular bar with the typical local gastronomy. All procedes will be used to finance the patrón Saint Festivities that are held in August.
