The Mirador maintains the essence of nature that once permeated this corner of the Mediterranean
La Cala has corners of great beauty. You just have to get out of the ordinary to be surprised by a genuine nature that has been able to maintain itself over the years. One of the most beautiful places is the Mirador, which was built in the 60s of the last century. To enjoy these impressive views, you have to reach the Plaça de l'Àmfora and from there walk towards the highest part of the Tossal hill, an archaeological site dating back to the first century BC. From the viewpoint you can appreciate the natural environment that surrounds the cove, with small cliffs and cliffs, having the island of Los Periodistas in front, the silhouettes of the buildings in the background and the mountain in the back.
After contemplating the expanse of the sea, the descent begins, observing the lines of the buildings built at the dawn of the tourist boom, which are on average six floors high and blend in with the small bungalows here and there, in no precise order. In the commercial ground floors, businesses that have been around for a lifetime, such as pharmacies and real estate, alternate with others that come and go, depending on how tastes are transformed over time. And at the end, the small cove of fine sand, tiny, round, cozy, with a charming promenade, surrounded by restaurants, viewpoints and pine forests, waiting for the arrival of the Christmas holidays, with its new smells, its dim light and the desire to be reborn one more year.
