La Cala beach puts in place a faster and safer rescue system
Technology has entered the beach of La Cala de Finestrat to make rescue systems more effective. This summer, a new electric propulsion system has been incorporated, lighter, drinkable, powerful and environmentally friendly. It is an electric board, paddle surfing type, which allows the lifeguard to arrive more quickly and act with greater immediacy in any emergency situation, since the victim can be placed on it without the need to fight with the waves or currents and, at the same time, without the effort of swimming and dragging with one arm.
The municipality of Finestrat is one of the first towns in the Valencian Community to incorporate this type of safer and faster rescues to its beach, which in addition to being more efficient, are respectful of the environment, as they are powered by clean energy.
Numerous bathers came to the beach of La Cala to see the simulated rescue that was carried out this week on the sand. These tests are carried out during the summer months to put into practice a possible emergency situation, in order to obtain maximum coordination and speed in the action.
