Residential tourism consolidates in Finestrat in the last decade
Residential tourism has consolidated in Finestrat in the las decade. The good climate, the opportunities and the good welcome to those who decide to take up residence in the munipality habe made the town one of the favourite destinations on the Costa Blanca. In fact, half of the population living here is a foreing national. For this reason, more than one hundred conpanies have gathered at the Business Incubator, located in the area of the Comercial Boulevard, this week to celebrate the First Business Meeting of Residencial Tourism, in order to make known to foreign clients the proposals in terms of infraestructure and international promotion for the real estate sector, as well as the tax measures and incentives implemented by the Generalitat Valenciana in the field of taxes and housing.
Telecommuting has encouraged digital nomads to make Finestrat their place of residence. Since the pandemic, the municipality has detected this change and has opted for it. In this way, fiber optics have been expanded to more than 70 percent of the municipality. including more than half of te rural areas. The proximity of the Local Administration to people from other countries has also been improved, creating a Department of Residents of Other Nationalities with staff wjho attend to them in their languages. For just over a monthm the Tourist Offices and this munipal agency have had a simultaneous translation service into more than 90 languages, in order to break down any barrier in the field of communication.
In figures, in the first quarter of 2023, 7500 homes have been sold throughout the Costa Blanca, while the total calculation of investment by nartionality reflects that the first country for the province is Belgium, followed by the Hetherlands antd the United Kingdom. Of note are the increases in total investment by China, Latvia, Russia, Slovakioa and Belarus.
