The Hanging Houses of Finestrat draw the silhouette of the lower part the municipality. Undoubtedly, it is one of locations that make this town in the Marina Baixa a unique and differentiated place. They rest on a large rock, which is a huge rocky slope that must be preserved because its safety dependes on it. A series on actions are currently being undertaken in order to consolidate this hillside. Since 2008 the work has been constant and the latter is practically financed by the Next Generations Funds.

They are especially beautiful when illuminated at anifhtall. These Works will make possibke an ornamiental intelligent lighting of this large hillside, as wella as the future pedestrian Green belt thar will link the historic center with the sports area of La Foia, which will pass through the road below La Penya.

The views from the Hanging Houses towards the bay make them one of the most visited points in the historic centre. But they are nor only attractive because of their panorama. If seen from the inside, the postcard could not be more pecturesque, as these colorful houses are intertwined with alleys and small squares that delight travelers.
