The old town of Finestrat once again shows off the colourful lanterns to welcome spring

The old town of Finestrat once again shows off the colourful lanterns to welcome spring

As the month of March draws to a close, the typical bright days of spring make an appearance in the Mediterranean. The season, in which everything is reborn, which has already entered the calendar, begins to be felt in the air, with its warm breeze and its aroma of orange blossom permeating the streets of the old town, whose main artery, Carrer Nou, is once again decorated with coloured lanterns crocheted by the women of Finestrat, that announce the imminent arrival of Holy Week and the IX edition of the Gastronomic and Traditional Market in this month of April. The new tourist season of 2025 kicks off in this way and in La Cala, the April Fair, which is held on the first weekend, is the starting gun.

The month of April is full of outdoor activities in Finestrat. In this way, this town on the Costa Blanca welcomes the first tourists of the year, who take advantage of these days of vacation in Pacua to make a stop along the way and enjoy the beach and the mountains. It is the first test of what this year's tourist season will be like and the town wants visitors who choose it to have a good time and enjoy themselves so that they return again in summer.

The lanterns, the April fair, the Easter processions and the IX edition of the Gastronomic and Traditional Market are a good start for all those who choose this tourist destination to see that in "Finestrat, they have it all".
