If all girls and girls live the night of the Three Kings with great emotion, in Finestrat this illusion is multiplied because in this town of the Marina Baixa there is a legendary tradition: It is Melchior, Gaspar and Balthazar who personally give gifts to the little ones of the house. Previously, on January 2, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., they will be able to go to the Royal Camp, which will be located in the Plaça de la Unió Europea, to leave their letters of wishes so that on the night of January 5 they come true.

It is not known exactly when Their Majesties of the East made this magical exception, but the oldest of the municipality also remember it, so it is not risky to say that they have been doing it for at least 75 years. With the arrival of tourism and urban growth in La Cala, the Three Wise Men arranged that not only the children who live in the urban area were going to receive gifts from their own hands. They decided to work a little more so that the children who live on the beach could also feel just as lucky. Thus, the afternoon of January 5 is very special because the Cavalcade of the Three Kings ends in a great party, in which each little one is called by name, so that he can approach his favorite wise man and pick up that gift that they had previously asked for by letter.
Throughout all these decades, the Three Wise Men have arrived in Finestrat in many ways, although the most common thing is that they do so on horseback, followed by carriages, where their pages and gifts go. No matter how much time passes, the excitement and nervousness of the little ones in the house is the same. Gifts have evolved in this almost century of tradition; however, the gaze of the children has remained unchanged.
This January 5th, the Three Wise Men from the East will arrive again in Finestrat. In the afternoon, families will be waiting to receive them. In the town centre they will come along Benidorm Avenue, take Carrer Nou and reach Plaça del Poble. They will also not miss their appointment in La Cala to distribute the gifts in the Plaça de l'Àmfora. Sitting on their thrones, one more year they will make it possible for the illusion to become a reality.
